2014 was the year the ford mustang turned 50, making the bar pretty high for the 2015 ford mustang to reach. This model sleeker, bolder, and ready to give raise some eyebrows.
The ford mustang has one hefty competition going back and forth with the Dodge Challenger. Often, the Challenger has ended up on top regarding both speed and engine specs. Ford took note of this and decided to change the ranks. It was time to put Ford on top again and the 2015 Ford Mustang model really delivers.
Ford removed that massive grill that the mustang has grown to be known for over the years and went with a bit more of a smooth, rounded appearance, intended to follow the recent sportscar trend we’ve been seeing in the recent years. It’s as if Ford got a few design tips from Mazda that they’re taking to heart with their ‘stang.
But 2015 is not just the year about appearances. Ford got a little carried away with the performance changes as well. This is the beginning of a new generation mustang.
The engine is a 3.7-liter V6 but a turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder is available. Ford strived to give the smaller cylinders a bigger punch. The 5.0 V8 is capable of reaching a max speed is 155MPH.
But Ford decided to thrown in something a little special with this model. The designers added in a 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine that reaches a max speed of 121. The 2015 mustang will, for the first time, have independent rear suspension.
With all the changes given to the Mustang this year, sportscar enthusiasts are expected to be excited for the new design. What Makes This The Best Year For The 2015 Mustang? by Mark Freedman
