How to Deal With Panic Attacks That Occur During The Night

Many people are experiencing pressure due to our fast paced daily lives and a culture where materialistic culture drives us. It is important to find somebody whom you can share your feelings and emotional life with. We all need someone to talk to and whom we share similar experiences or who identifies with the same challenges that we go through. Emotions should not be bolted up and stored in our minds as this becomes stored energy which can escalate to anxiety disorders. We should release them to avoid stress and keep a healthy mind.

There are a few ways to help deal with nocturnal panic attacks:

  • By joining a support group with people who have similar experiences and together learn techniques to get back to a healthy state of mind and body.

  • Minor tranquilizers prescribed by professional health care givers.

  • Nutritional foods that contain stimulants are highly recommended with careful diet and food supervision. Stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine should be avoided as they can accelerate anxiety and panic attacks. Sugar should also be avoided.

  • Engaging the body and mind through exercising and relaxation methods.

  • A psychotherapy known as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a process that encourages a patient to engage and modify anxious self talk and false impressions that give your physical body anxiety producing messages. This is done by professional psychiatrists and one needs to seek help should the physical therapies fail to relieve them of the panic attacks.

It is important to stay in touch with your feelings. Express them when you need to and do so with honesty. Being afraid or shy will only create an emotional burden. Speaking about your fears creates a relief that would have otherwise been bottled up in your mind. Engage in activities with family and friends. It is possible to rid yourself of anxiety and live a panic-free life.
